The organization sought to migrate its critical revenue analytics and operational data processes from legacy Mainframe/COBOL/QUIK JOB systems to a modern Snowflake-on-AWS environment.

1. Revenue Analytics (RA) Support – Ongoing

DataTerrain provides continuous operational and development support for the client’s newly migrated Revenue Analytics platform on Snowflake.

Our team ensures consistent data accuracy, performance, and reporting reliability across all business units.

Key activities include:

  • Monitoring and maintaining revenue jobs for monthly processing (Revenue, CJL, and Historical Records)
  • Developing new Snowflake views and optimizing data queries
  • Enhancing AWS job scheduling and process automation
  • Power BI integration and dashboard optimization for business reporting
  • Implementing data validation and control checks to ensure high-quality analytics

This proactive support framework helps maintain zero downtime, faster report generation, and high data confidence across the enterprise.

2. OPACC Process Migration – In Development

DataTerrain is leading the migration of the OPACC process from mainframe to Snowflake to enable a modern, automated, and scalable architecture.

The project involves:

  • Migrating four key component jobs (OPACC logics) that extract data from diverse sources including MDW, DB2, AIMS, and external files
  • Re-engineering three COBOL programs and three QUIK jobs into Snowflake-native equivalents
  • Building efficient ETL logic in AWS for seamless orchestration and monitoring
  • Implementing metadata-driven workflows to enhance transparency and maintainability

Once completed, this migration will significantly reduce processing time, simplify maintenance, and empower data teams with cloud-ready automation.
