Amazon QuickSight administrator have authorization to create or share the Shared folders to one or more groups. Shared folder on Amazon QuickSight has two access levels where the folder owner owns everything inside the folder whereas the folder viewer can only use the assets such as folders dashboards and datasets.● AWS security is enforced on each and every object within the folder which is applied to the assets of whoever the folder is shared with according to their access level.● When a sub folder is shared at any level the person whom the folder was shared with sees the root folder in the top level folders view.● A shared asset inherits its permission from the folder when it belongs to the owner.● A private asset is created when an asset is added to a shared folder and this can be viewed by but doesn’t belong to the folder owner.
